JFK Airport to Midtown hotels –
There are numerous hotels in and around Midtown Manhattan (Times Square , Grand Central, Lexington, 34th St. , Penn station etc.). Some of them like Marriott, Hilton etc. are right in middle of Times Square. Getting to the hotels from JFK airport is very convenient by cab. It is a flat rate from the JFK airport (currently $45 plus tip). Apart from this one can always opt for the subway since Midtown is extremely well connected by subway trains (metro).
If you are on a budget, the cheapest way to get to Manhattan is to use the AIRTRAIN and the subway system (or LIRR trains), for around seven dollars (Airtrain – $5, Subway $2.25). The entire trip takes less than 40 minutes to reach midtown from JFK. You can get Hotel Shuttles at station C. Currently, there are three AIRTRAIN routes – the first one is the inner loop/terminal transit – which offers free terminal to terminal transfers. The other two are Howard Beach route and the Jamaica station route. You can take the “E” train or LIRR to Manhattan.
JFK to Jersey City hotels – One can take a cab directly which could be a little expensive or take the subway and then change to Path, which connects NYC to Jersey City. Or one can take a cab to 33rd St., Manhattan (which is a flat rate – $45 ) and then take the PATH from 33rd to Jersey City. Some of the conveniently located hotels in Jersey City include Hyatt (at Exchange Place), Westin, Double Tree, Marriott in the Newport area and also some in the Hoboken area.

LGA – LaGuardia to Jersey City hotels – One can take a cab directly from LaGuardia airport which could be a little expensive. Or one can take a cab to 33rd St., Manhattan (which is a flat rate) and then take the PATH from 33rd to Jersey City. EWR – Newark airport to Jersey City hotels – One can take a cab directly from Newark Airport which would mean a taxi fare of about $25-$30 (plus tip). Or one can take the PATH. Some of the conveniently located hotels in Jersey City include Hyatt (at Exchange Place), Candlewood Suites (at Exchange Place), Westin, Double Tree, Marriott in the Newport area and also some in the Hoboken and North Bergen areas and others in Weehawken area like the Sheraton Suites.
Double Tree hotel, Jersey city is close to the Newport area and Exchange place, is about 20 minutes away from Newark Liberty international Airport. PATH train station (New Jersey/ New York), Newport Mall and the Harborside Ferry terminal is within walking distance.
“Courtyard by Marriot”, Newport, Jersey City is located right next to the PATH station, from where you can reach New York in about 12 minutes. This hotel is conveniently located close to the Newport Mall, waterfront and the Light-Rail station.
Candlewood Suites, Jersey City is near PATH station, Exchange-Place, Harbor Side financial center and Newport. They have large suites and Kitchens with Microwave and Refrigerators.
Westin, Newport, Jersey city offers great views of Manhattan and is located in the waterfront financial district. Right across from the Newport Marina, this hotel is just blocks away from Newport PATH station, Newport Mall, Light-Rail etc. WTC station and also World financial center is a few minutes away by Path-train.
